What is a Salary Sacrifice?

A Salary Sacrifice, or Optional Remuneration Arrangements (OpRA) as they are now known, is a cost effective means of employees accessing goods or services.  An employee agrees to give up part of their salary in exchange for these goods or services, such as a car from Fleet Solutions (www.nhsfleetsolutions.co.uk) or in this case home technology. The benefit of this is that you will make savings on your National Insurance and pension contributions – ultimately it is an opportunity for you to save money on home technology and spread the cost, with no deposits or hidden payments.

To obtain no obligation quote and a breakdown of costs to how much this would be for you, please sign in to our website or register an account if you are a new user.

What is a VPD Code and where can I find it?

A VPD (Virtual Private Database) code is a security measure put in place by all NHS Trusts. The code is unique to which NHS organisation you are employed by.

If your employer is not an English NHS organisation you may need to call us to request your VPD code.

VPDs are normally located on the front cover of your NHS pay slips at the bottom right hand corner, usually within the 2nd and 3rd lines of text. All VPD numbers are 3 Digits – see the diagram below:
